For the sake of making a decision, I would go with the AGA Annual
Convention.  I prefer "convention" because I think it describes what will be
going on better than "conference".

But I think there is another issue involved rather than simply the name, and
that is, our intent, which I think we need to clarify.  The way I understood
it, this year we were going to have all American speakers, and every year
thereafter we were going to have an international conference.  I thought we
were going to be carrying the ball  for an international conference after
2001 because the for-profit organizations don't want to spend the money.
Are you saying, Neil, now the hope is that after 2001 the plan is for the
for-profits to start carrying the ball again?
