I asked a while back if anyone was contacting sponsors and Neil is the only one who responded. The list I have contacted so far: Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Aquarium Landscapes, Aquatic Eco-systems, Kent Freshwater, Aquarium Products, Seachem, Pet Warehouse, Marilyn Aquatic Nurseries, and Neil is working with FAN. If you have contacts at any of these that would help, let me know. MAN is the only one really committed at this point. If you know any other businesses, also let me know. We need help on this folks. I am using a free room now for businesses that want to come so we can lower the fee to $300. Also will allow some smaller businesses to advertise and include stuff in our registration packets for $100 fee. We have one local business signed up already for that. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good news!! I sent out most of the brochures to members by now and the international marketing guy for Aqua Design Amano emailed me and said Amano was fairly busy but was going to try to come to our conference!!!!!! Registrations are coming in now so we need to talk it up so people will know it is beginning to happen-there are only so many cheap hotel rooms and when the reservations are gone, they will have to find their own hotel rooms and they will be more expensive. You can email me if you have questions. I also have about 5 volunteer signed up to help with auction, registrations, etc on site that weekend and may get a few more if necessary. I forgot to ask, are we going to comp our speakers the registration fee or anything? I didn't plan that when budgeting costs but if we can get enough sponsor money, that would be a nice gesture since they are paying to get here and hotel, etc Charlene
