The showcase's absolute done-date when we open the website is November 30th, but I am wishfully hoping we might have the judging done by the conference, especially with our two American judges who are going to be there and will see the entries up in the "preview" there (hint, hint, judge who is not Karen and who hasn't yet started...). This should leave us time to make the TAG deadline of the 15th. However, we have had some setbacks with the judging, namely that one of our judges hasn't been heard from at all, so while waiting for him we've lost a week or two and may have to substitute or go with just three. A couple per year means every half the issues can be color! Excellent! I think that we could have a whole spread for the December issue, including as many color pages as we are allowed, with material left aplenty for all of next year AND for a 1-pager in PAM without re-using any material. Karen can now vouch for this. > I have only done one so far this year, and I could I > suppose save it up for next year. I guess it ends up boiling down to if the judging is done, we will have the articles, but if it isn't, we won't. Actually, my part can probably be done without the judging, because it'll probably talk about the variety and the formats and the countries and how this thing will be an on-line functional equivalent to an Amano book for ALL ranges of aquarists... lots of great ideas and examples for other people to learn from. I firmly believe that we can have the articles and photos ready by the date, so it really boils down to just the judging. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com
