BING BING BING BING! It's actually the other way. He has two pages in PAM for "showcase". One of these is the judge CD that was sent out already, and has just viewable pictures (without the copyright notices burned in directly) and ties in to the website. The second, the one to be sold through the AGA, is geared towards the end-user, and has stuff like a modified version of the web front-end to guide the users through the disk, and a tie-in like the judge CD, but the images all have the copyright burned in. There is a THIRD CD, which contains all the photos and drawings in their original virgin form and resolutions; if someone were planning on publishing pictures from the showcase, *THIS* is where I would work from, not from either of the other two disks. I'm trying to come up with something cooperative here, not hindering. If we want someone to publish a photo, then we should give them the best possible quality, but only the material we'd like to see, right? It's not that we want to keep Dave away from the images, I'd just rather coordinate which ones he PUBLISHES so that it fits with our own plans. The easiest way to insure this happens is to only give him the full-quality images we select. If we sent him a whole CD but with a post-it note on it saying "please only publish #203, #407 and #108", what do you suppose the odds are that he'll forget the post-it note? > At this point in time, nobody can prepare much in the way of an article for > publication anywhere. ... > I have been too close to this project for too long to be very objective in > any of this. I think we could get out a representative two-page spread, along with your paragraph written on the website, that would look great in the Q4 PAM. If you don't want tocreate it, but are OK with the concept, I would be happy to do so. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com
