I can speak to that issue as well. I have sent Dave several CD's FULL of publication quality images. I every case he has carefully called me to discuss what issues he'd like to use and how. There are no burned-in copyrights on these images. They are just tiff files of good quality photos on a disk that has, written in "sharpie" pen, "copyright Karen A. Randall". BTW, I sned photos both to MAry and AFM in exactly the same format, and expect that they will obey the law. So far I have not been disappointed. If I felt that I couldn't trust a publisher to handle my material correctly, I wouldn't send it to them at all. If I worry about images, it's when I send them to AFM, not when I send them to either Dave or Mary. OTOH, though, it makes no sense to send Dave images that we have no intention of letting him use. So I agree that it's best to have Erik sort through them first. Karen
