The tricky part with the rentals is that crossing over from n number of vehicles to n+1 can turn the event from net profit to net loss unless you get enough folks to make the additional vehicle pay for itself. It's too hard to say how many vehicles will be needed until we have a better idea how many FTs we're likely to get. But at any time, given the cost of vehicles, one can calculate the total net revenue/loss for any number of FTs. That will let us know when we need to cut off the FTs. Complicating that calculation is whether the drivers will be paid FTs or comped volunteers -- last year, iirc, we had drivers that didn't attend the convention except to pitch in as drivers and we didn't charge them for an FT but they took up a seat ;-) Simplifying the whole thing is the fact that, above a certain number of FTs, adding an additinal vehicle won't turn the FTs from net plus to net negative :-) sh --- Ghazanfar Ghori <ghazanfarghori@hotmail.com> wrote: > Oh - almost forgot to mention.
