Hey, this sounds like a numbers question; whre are the
nubmers?  ;-)

What's the price diff one way or the other? Is the diff
between sponsorhsips levels that was finally settled on
more than $59? 

If so, then how about we tell him:

Sponsorship includes two regs so he can take $59 (or $108)
off the sponsor cost check since he already paid for one
(or two) registration(s)

OR  

for only x dollars more on his sponsorship check he can get
--- list all the great stuff one gets at the next level,
full page ad in the program doc, name on the hospitality
room, photo op with Larry Lampert, all the keen benefits
