Well I guess my expertise would really pay off in this situation. I was born and raised in Poland and came to US in '93 so I'm more then qualify to handle this issue. There is a big question mark about this whole situation. I want to make sure that this guy is 100% legit hobbyist. People abroad will think of anything to get to "land of opportunity". If AGA is interested to "help" him with invitation documents, I can double check with "important" polish figures (aka. Bartek Lipczynski) if this guy is legit. One side note. To cover Round-Trip from West/East Europe, one needs to dish out around ~$800. On top of that there is AGA Convention, Field Trip, AGA Membership (if he is not), Hotel, Food etc etc. If this guy is really serious about this trip, then I give him a lot of credit. I emailed Oliver Knott (Germany) and asked him about AGA2K4. He is very excited but also mentioned that this trip will make noticeable dent in his budget. If there are people who are willing to spend $$$$$ to come and see AGA organization, then I think we are "obligated" to reach out to them. Please let me know what AGA thinks about this. Once I get green light, I will contact my friends in Poland and find out if we should or shouldn't help out. If we do so, I'm willing to show him around etc. PS. Polish Government is working really hard with Bush's Co. to eliminate need for VISAs. If everything goes well, we might have more visitors from across the "big river". This would be an excellent way for American Govt. to say Thank You for participating in Iraq. I read this reply as he's asking not for money, but for someone to host him and take care of him. I will be happy to make one more reply, but I definitely am not the one to try and find someone (possibly who speaks fluent Polish) to chaperone him. Let me know if there's anything you guys can do! I suppose that there must have been a misunderstanding because I would not even think about AGA as a sponsor. I am not sure if I can come not because of your sponsorship but the money I will find here in Poland as it is not so cheap to go to the USA.It will take a while for me to find find an interested company that would help me take part in the conference. There is one more thing, very important, I would like to say and especially ask for. I really want to see all the 'gedeners' that's why I need a formal invitation including the name, the date of the conference to get my visa here in Poland to get into your country. As for other requests, I am asking also for taking care of me in Washington as it is quite a big city and it may be difficult for me to move around.I will feel much safer if there is anybody that would help me with it. if it is not so much trouble.
