We could pass out little ice cream cups with little wooden spoons.... Cheryl S. Hieber wrote:
The logistical issues regarding the Focus Groups seem to further hem things in. If we hold to the 2-hour blocks, which has virtues that Ghazanfar has mentioned, then the only way to move lunch up is to put it ahead of the second talk (too early for lunch -- too late for Amano) or move the morning schedule up 1/2 hour. Lunch could start 1/2 hour earlier and last 1/2 hour longer - 2 hours, the same as the other time blocks. It is not uncommmon to find Saturday talks at similar events beginning at 8:00 or 8:30 am is it? ACA is the most recent example that comes to mind. sh --- Ghazanfar Ghori <GhoriG@gmail.com> wrote:The hotel basement leads to an underground mall. I hope people choose to grab a sandwich from there rather than have a fullfledged sit down lunch. We can announce that suggestion when we break for lunch. However, I understand your concern, but looking at theschedule I really don't see any other way to do this. Here are the considerations: For logistical reasons, we need to keep the workshopstogether. We also need atleast one hour to convert the main ballroom into three sections (or vice versa), setup & test all the AV and have enough buffer time to sort out any glitches. We also need atleast 1.5 hours between the last 'talk' and the banquet so that there's enoughtime to setup the tables, AV and count the votes. However, with the constraints we have, which all of youare more experienced with than I, I'm very open to suggestions on alternative schedules._______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm_______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
