Re: [AGA-mcm] Potential issue

It is not clear to me from what Tomoko wrote whether the shipment is for the
demo or the vendors' room or both. Is everything he is shipping for the
demo tank? Or is some of it product to be sold in the vendors' room, with
the excess going home with Jeff? I'd contact Jeff Senske and see what his
arrangement is with Amano concerning the equipment. (you also want to be
sure that he knows he is responsible for any shipping/holding costs
post-convention!<g>) Hopefully he has already put some thought into it. If
Jeff is getting the benefit of this post-convention, and the convention is
not going to be able to benefit financially from the demo tank, either by
auctioning it or raffling it (or whatever) I think Jeff should be expected
to kick in for whatever storage fees are involved unless they are less than
whatever it would cost to provide a suitable tank and equipment locally.

I tried to tell you before that Amano is VERY particular about the plants he
wants to use, and he is used to having a lot more to paw through than he'll
actually use. (though he does use a lot) Do you have any idea how big the
demo tank is? It seems like a crying shame to have to dismantle the tank
after the demo, but if the demo equipment is truly going home with Jeff
Senske, that is the only option. He couldn't possible take it back to Texas
set up.

When Amano spoke in Chattanooga, Charlene was able to arrange a suitable
amount of donated material for both the aution and the demo, though more
went to the demo than the auction. I'm not sure that is a terrible thing
though, as most of the donated plants have been pretty run-of-the-mill
stuff. I do think she had donations from more than one source though. One
was definitely FAN, but I can't think of the other company off the top of my
head. Anyone remember? Erik, do we still have the sponsor names anywhere
on the website from back then? It's kind of a big feather in a companies
hat that THEIR plants will be used in Amano's demo, so that might entice
another company to contribute.
