Jay, I don't know why I'm still in the loop.  Maybe his translator friends 
don't have your e-mail address.  But it sounds like they were trying to do 
the reservations, but without such things as a credit card.  Hmm..

Can someone on the convention committee reserve the room for him with a 
credit card?  I know, don't all volunteer at once...  if no other options, 
we can probably do it.
