Having visable tags or pins or something that identifies folks as "Helpers" to the crowd can be a nice touch. You know, like "the convnetion staff have the orange name tags, so if you have question about something at the convention, look for an orange tag and they'll try to help . . . I've seen this at some conventions and it's something we do at the airports.
