Well, we can ask him if he minds some scheduled "photo ops" but I'm sure he doesn't... He arranged one himself the last time he was here, and had Nozomi taking his picture with everyone.<g> As far as the 10 minutes of flash-popping at the beginning of his talks, we've just got to tell people they can't do that. You couldn't see the slides. Again, if we want to let people have their 30 seconds of flashes to get him at the podium, fine. But then they have to put them away until after the talk. It was worse than cell phones.<g> Another thing that happened in Chattanooga that we have to work to avoid is that once the convention officially started, people who didn't know him were very reluctant to approach him casually and just talk. We organizers were purposely holding back to avoid monopolizing his time, since we had had a chance to spend time with him before the convention. But other people were, I guess, too shy to just go up and start a conversation. Tomoko is very capable of handling the translation of a chatty conversation, and Amano is actually very approachable. There were times during the reception and other unstructured events when he, Tomoko and Nozomi were sitting all alone. We want to try to avoid that. Obviously we can't write this out in the program, but those of us on the management side of things have to do our best to encourage people to go sit and talk with him. Otherwise the poor man will be monopolized by Peter again and he may NEVER come back!<g> Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "S.
