Re: [AGA-mcm] Vendor Update

It was in the contract, iirc, but best to double check with
the hotel -- it's always the unexpected add-ons -- extensin
cords, PA hookups/use, whatever -- that put the pinch onthe
final bill.

We were surprised last year to find that we slightly
underestimated one charge because we didn't know that taxes
were charge on services -- in that case the bartender for
the portable bar outside the banquet. Otoh, the hotel
comped more rooms than we first expected. But it's good to
avoid some kinds of surprises ;-)

=====
The AGA Convention has SOLD OUT of rooms at the special discount rate.

Contact hotel directly (703)920-3230 for other hotel discounts possibly
available -- ask for the "leisure rate" of $119 per night. The generic
reservation line may not offer the "leisure rate."

For alternative hotel info see

http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/convention.html

Capacity for the Field Trip was doubled and is likely to sell out soon.

The $59 registration rate increases on October 28th to $79.
