I think the response should come from Rick as head of the convention but I think it should be sent by Jay. Going around Jay, who has been his contact, to Erik is not cricket. The response should say, Erik Olson forwarded to me your letter so that I could respond on behalf of the AGA. 15 minutes doesn't sound like an educational presentation, it sounds like huckster. If he just wants to give talk -- this is a heck of a time to bring it up. IF we're turning down Knott for this year for a presentation, then I think we gotta turn down this guy Let's advise him that selling at the convention costs XXXX and for that he gets, a table in the vendor area, etc. and he can talk all he wants to whomever comes to the vendor area. If he wants to see and hear, he can do that. If he wants to hustle, he should pay as have others. Something like: "Erik Olson forwarded to me your letter asking for presentation time at the convention so that I could respond on behalf of the AGA. We would be glad to include you in our Vendor Area and provide you with a table for your materials. The price for a table is $xxx. The Vendor Area will be a major attraction at the convention and we expect virtually all attendees to visit. Thank you for your offer to make a presentation but the schedule of events has been painstakingly planned over many months and we cannot add to it this late in the planning." sh --- Jay Luto <jayluto@hotmail.com> wrote: > It looks like he used official letterhead from his > sponsor.
