Those Folks Erik mentions are not hawking there goods. And
the folsk that are hawking their stuff are paying for the
opportunity to push directly to the concentrated market of
people we have brought together.

I think the letter shows more than a little nerve and lack
of respect. 

If someone wants to sell, he/she/they can buy vendor space,
imo. Erik's suggestion about introducing foreign visitors
sounds very generous -- I'm think Ed Sullivan style
"Tonight we have in our audience, Kirk Douglas. Stand up
and take a bow Mr. Douglas. Also, tonight we have. . . ". 

I absolutely would NOT give them a mike. I would not offer
any time for anyone to sell except as a vendor in the
vendor area.
