Re: [AGA-mcm]aga/aca/convention issues

Speaking of the convention, I know the ACA does a table, separate from the local club to sell memberships, have ACA info, ACA book sales etc etc. The ACA I believe gets this table for free/part of cooperation with the local club (Larry may know more details on this one).

Does the AGA want to do that?? I know the problem is manning it, usually we are all running around helping run the convention (and this year I will be running after a 10 mo old) I know we talked about T Shirts sales, not sure what ever happened with that.

I don't want to offend GWAPA in any way, I know this is a joint adventure and that the success of the general convention is by far EVERYONE"S PRIORITY. Since it came up about where Ann would sell shirts and was never finally decided on, I figured I would toss this out.

I think the ACA's is in a hall not to take up vendor room space etc. Now, GWAPA folks if this in anyway bothers you make sure you let us know too.

I see conventions as ways to promote the plant hobby, the AGA, the hosting club and hopefully make enough money to break even and maybe bring in extra for both organizations so they can both do cool stuff for there members.

Cheryl, Please save a full set (especially of volume 4) for me to destaple and scan, thanks! As I mentioned before, I only have a "reprint" volume 4 with the plain cover, and I do plan on rescanning at some point.

I'm not sure what you meant by indexing, but perhaps what you want to do overlaps with what I want... Basically it's an attempt to set up some subject categories and tag each article with its corresponding categorie(s). I got about 2/3 through a couple years back and my head exploded. It remains as the one barrier to releasing the archive. I'd be happy to send you the raw file I have.

Other copies -- let's sell them at the convention! It's now guaranteed rare!

Ideas? Erik, I know you wanted a set for archiving. I would like a set for eventual indexing (HAHAHA!!! Wiping eyes. Like I'm ever going to have time for THAT!)

Diana had a good idea--"Best of TAG" publication, submitted and voted on by the members.

Do you think we could make any monet selling them at the auction? Or at AN auction, i.e. Aquabid?

Else?
