I don't know if very many would be willing to go that far, but some 
might.  Some will want to be active in AGA in some kind of capacity, 
not necessarily related to the convention.  What started this thread 
was a comment or two from new attendees that they felt left out. With 
the possible exception of the idle rich, people who come up with the 
funds to attend obviously have a pretty strong commitment to the 
hobby,
