I think he has too much stuff crowded into the Field Trip
-- not enough shmooze time. ;-)

It's true, the SF area would be a great area for a
convention *if* we could get the folks east of the
Mississippi to go there. But who could they put on the
program that has that much draw?

Another thought: SF hotel rates? If he wants reasonable
hotel rates he better forget SF and start thinking San
Pablo or Oakland across the bay. Another town in which I've
lived, btw.
