Re: [AGA-mcm] Women in the hobby.



I think sometimes it is cultural.  Why are equestrian sports heavily
male-dominated in every country but the U.S., but here it is over 80% women?
Know one seems to know.  I DO know that I can't get my sons to ride, because
they won't hang out at the barn with a bunch of girls.<g>

I think it is possible that women BUY more aquarium stuff because in
general, they are not as DIY oriented as men.  I think the way to get more
women involved in the hobby is from the gardening perspective.  Women
dominate THAT hobby, and what are planted aquariums but indoor gardens that
you don't have to worry about watering every day?<g>
