My opinion is the more the community does the that the
better, and all year around, not just at the convention.
Does it hurt auction revs? Undoubtedly to some unknown
extent, it must drive prices down by reducing the number of
bids. But it's a small price for AGA to pay for one of the
best parts of the hobby.
