For $50 I think we should do it. And I agree with Karen that we should put a cap on it, or create some other set of guidelines.

Larry, if you can't go to the DFWAPC meeting Saturday, I'm going. But I'm not a cichlid-head. I can only claim one little A. macmasteri.

The Natural Cichlid Habitat class is "has to be there". I have some photos of previous years' entries if anyone's interested.

There are also two photo classes, both are traditionally given so little regard that even the trophies are smaller, they often don't even mention what the picture is OF in the presentation, and the blue fish always wins. One of the two categories, "slides", had no entries last year and really needs to be merged of phased out with all the digital stuff.

I think sponsorship is a great way of getting our name out there with the TCA folks. Most cichlid people I meet are at least interested in how to grow simple plants in their tanks. How much would it be?


I think Kathy was right in her post -- $50.
