RE Ray. Having a convention at all this year is too up in the air for us to be able to make a commitment with Ray for 2005. He might be willing to still display a posterboard and brochures at all his events like he did last year. I think that fence is mended. We can talk to him in Connecticut at the NEC. Just in case, maybe we should have the posterboard and a few hundred brochures on hand?
Ray and I were up half the night talking the Friday before the Raleigh show. I think we can safely say that he's well over any problems from the convention. If he has the space, I have no doubt that he'd be willing to put out a posterboard for the AGA and carry brochures etc. Like I said before, I gave him my full stock of trifold (30 or so) and the remaining 18 TAG backissues for folks who sign up right there. If he's willing to do this for free that's great, if not perhaps we can offer to pay him more when he does our conventions. I can tell you for certain that as long as I have anything to do with vendors at our shows Ray is going to be invited. As for this year, even if we have a convention he won't be making it. His schedule is super full and he needs a break.
Cheryl,FYI, Ray "Kingfish" Lucas represents a number of aquarium manufacturers at a large number of conventions, small and very large, around the country each year. He's probably our best bet for getting exposure right now.
Regarding back issues. Both recent and not-so-recent issues would be good. I try to send the most recent copies to potential advertisers to make sure they get the best idea of what TAG's like. The others go as a bribe to folks for signing up in person.
