RE: [AGA-mcm] Dates and Pits

Sounds good to me Scott. We don't need to lose any monkeys to bad dates.

I'd like to send the text below to the conhead list but
it's pintless without some consensus. Comments?

I believe we had originally talked about Feb/March as being
the end of the line for consideration for 2005. It's not a
matter of desire but of practicality.

Preproposal work is progressing thanks to some awfully hard
work by the SFBAAPS folks. Unfortunately, the calendar,
too, is progressing and time has gotten dreadfully short
for planning. marketing and producing a convention. The
fact that today more time is still needed to prepare a
proposal is one indicator of how long the whole process can
take. Many of post-proposal tasks take even more time.

So SFBAAPS should plan on a proposal being delivered to the
AGA by the end of this month at the latest if 2005 is going
to be the intended year. Otherwise, that means a target of
2006, for which their is time to plan and produce without
folks burning out.
