If the consensus is that it is already too late for 2005,
then maybe what I wrote should be reworded. Perhaps
something along the lines of:
"having carefully considered ... discussed with
experienced convention planners at the NEC . . . we believe
that attempting a convention in 2005 bears too many risks
for both our organizations and their members. So we advise
aiming the SFBAAPS proposal for a 2006 convention
We realize that this is a disappoint for all of us that had
hoped to attend an AGA convention this year. But the
additional time this affords can be put to very good use
and should ease some of the immediate pressure on SFBAAPS.
We are not suggesting that SFBAAPS delay in it's current
effforts, only that it directs them towards a 2006 event."
