That puts us in the same position we're in now...I would follow the ACA model, which seems to work pretty well. It's what we're trying to do at the ALA, and the AKA folks use it, too. Our club does it, and so does the local Water Gardening club. Why reinvent the wheel?

I suggest a deadline of a month or two before the convention, so the AGA can have some time to mull it over, and clear up any problems. Then announce the winner (should we have competition!) at the Convention so everyone has a full year to plan. This year, if we decide not to do a convention, set the deadline date for submissions to be something like September 15th.

And announce it -maybe another group that is more organized will step forward. Also, it gives everyone the same firm deadline...

I'm happy to write the note if Scott doesn't want to. I'm just about finished with the e-mail telling Jeff to pick his battles, though...
