Our CAOAC convention is always held on our May 24 weekend which is one
weekend ahead on your long weekend. Bids are made at the convention for the
next convention. London AS is going to be 50 years old next year so we are
putting in a bid for the convention at this years convention. We already
have the hotel booked and several on the committees in place. One year is
not out of line to prepare to put on a successful one. The pres of London
and as vice pres we are chairing the convention. We usually have several
bids for the reps to vote on and then the winner has a year to prepare. It
is widely announced at the convention which gives you a better feel of how
people accept your proposal.
