Re: [AGA-mcm] Required statement on the AGA site



Good question. Wish I had thought of it. 

Suppose we just deal with the statement, "Payments to the
AGA are not deductible as charitable contributions for
Federal income tax purposes,"  and forget the rest of the
text.

I think any place where we are accepting money counts as a
solicitation. For the web site, is it possible to put that
statement on the shopping cart and on the "if paying by
check" place on the bookstore page? I think that covers us
for all website payments.

The only other place would be the brouchures since we
accept bring money in that way too. We can at least make
the change for the next time we get some printed and for
any electronic copies of the brochure that we give out.

I don't think this will be a big issue. Roger Miller is the
only one that ever asked me about "deductibility".
