The only aquaria that aren't doing so well are the sand-bottom shell-dweller tanks & one 45 with Altolamprologus compressiceps, which build up major BGA. Big surprise there, no plants! And the Alto tank surprises me because it's very similar in composition to the Julie tank, except that it's a bit smaller and I think they're not grazers the same way... so perhaps the wrong kind of algae builds up there.

Ahhh... You are doing experiments in low-maintenance planted tanks. I smell an article in there somewhere! On the plus side, I got around to cleaning the tanks last weekend. It's become quarterly. I try to beat my copy of TAG arriving.- Erik On Fri, 27 May 2005, S. I notice howTV, Radio andmagazines (like National Geo) are now including "webexclusives" thatexpand on the printed/spoken/etc content. I reallyliked how Cheryl putup the expanded Elatine article last year. Maybe nexttime we have anaquascape article like Luis', we could do a "See howthis aquascapeprogresses on our WEB EXCLUSIVE http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/xxxxx.html" where wetrack the tank overtime. Arrange with the author in advance. This isespecially cool foraquascapes as that is what they're always asking about. - Erik On Thu, 26 May 2005, Cheryl Rogers wrote:What do y'all think about Richard Goodkind's articlegoing on the website?
