Hey, it's not a matter of the database, it's a matter of the front end. What's going on is that about a week ago I upgraded pulcher (aka the krib, aka aquatic-gardeners.org, etc) to a new version of the OS, and coincidentally also needed to update the web front-end for the database (a program called "DaDaBiK") for the first time in like 2+ years.
Theoretically, I CAN produce a report showing the distribution of member months. Probably will too, just to be obstinate.

Ah! I'm hearing you say, "That functionality is under-implemented in the current configuration." I don't think the database supports that kind of analysis -- I just like to ask for it every 5 or six months in case some weird change in conditions makes it suddenly possible. Ho well, there also are things the financial records can't tell us. Working with data is making leaps of faith over holes in the info. Thanks for getting me Indianans info so quickly. "Indianans." That word just doesn't look right does it. But the alternative is "Indianians" which looks even more redundandant. And I can't bring myself to call grown-up adult people "Hoosiers." It sounds like something from a Dashiell Hammett detective story -- "Then this hoosier comes in and tried to sap me with a blackjack but I coldcocked him with a left, which spunhim around and introduced his face to the floorboards." Yeah, I know. Your message was more elegant. sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@rightstuffwebsites.com> wrote:no. bite me. S. Hieber wrote:Hey, you're starting to have fun with data. You mightbegetting a copter beanie for Christmas. I would like to know the distribution of tenure. xx%aremembers for only 1 year. yy% are members for 2 yr.s . ..zz% are members for 30 yr.s Can we get that? sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@rightstuffwebsites.com>wrote:THANKS! I wish I had known how easy it was to display fields on the results page. I can really go to town with this. C'mon, somebody quiz me, who wants to know all the members who expired in2003with the last name containing the letter z with a zip code of 574 and have an e-mail address on file? If I wasn't so darn whipped tonight, I would jump upanddown._______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm_______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm_______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
