[AGA-mcm] GCAS meeting

A PM on APC to me from Matthew Patrick from an AGA member reads thusly:

Phil contacted me the day after I sent you this PM. He is sending some stuff. I'm not sure what he is sending but I'm sure it will be of benefit to our little club.

Attendance at the meeting is usually hard to judge! We are still in the infancy of the club having only 2 meetings under our belts. We have about 15 members but only about half make the monthly meetings. The group that does get together for our little meeting also gets together the next day at the Greater Cincinatti Aquarium Society's (GCAS) monthly meeting. We schedule our meetings close to the GCAS meeting so everyone has an easy time remembering However, it does create some conflict with folks with children having two meetings the same weekend.

So far, attendance will be between 5-10 people. I don't usually get confirmation from everyone until the night before. With kids outings and many County Fairs going on in the area right now, attendance is low. I guess that can be expected during the summer months.

It sounds like you had fun at the Cichlid convention this weekend. Hopefully it introduced more folks to the planted side of Aquaria!

As a last note, Tom Barr is coming to do a talk at GCAS's September 25th meeting. I can check to see if they are planning on handing out any AGA materials. If not, I would be more than willing to see if they would let us set up a small table at the meeting. Maybe we can introduce a few more folks to planted tanks this way.
