Re: [AGA-mcm] Preparations A through G failed, it is time to move on to Preparation H.

The next step is to formally make a proposal to the board for this. Remember that we have to have the legal issues dealt with (i.e., wording we will include on the site), focus, initial plan, etc.

The board will discuss the proposal (on this list), and then make appropriate motions & vote on it.

In terms of technical aspects... we should start from scratch, not using the "FFAGA" test site. It took less than an hour to set this up, so no worries. At a minimum, the site will be on a subdomain, i.e., http://forum.aquatic-gardener.org

In addition, I will check back in on the mailing list gateway software & see if that code is in a position to integrate.

The regular AC/BOD fols will also have moderator priviledges but aren't required to act as full time moderators unless you desire to. This is more to give y'all access to the closed door "board room" where the decisions are discussed and made. If, while perusing the forum, you see something that needs to be addressed and you wish to do so please feel free.

As of this email I feel that we have enough people to successfully monitor the site and are ready to get going on actually setting the forum up. Erik, I'm clueless on this next step. Do we already have the basic foundation laid with the FFAGA forum you set up previously? Rather than set up yet another email list I think it would be best to do all of the communication on the forum itself. Do we need to set up a brand new site or would we be able to modify the existing "FFAGA" forum without deleting it?

Regards,
Phil
