Re: [AGA-mcm] [Fwd: Re: [AGA-Member] AGA Top 10 (almost)]
Dear Rein,
Greetings! It is nice to know that there is an interest in planted tanks
growing in the Baltic countries! My stepmother is Latvian, and I have
visited there with her twice. In fact, I returned from a wonderful vaction
to Latvia just a few weeks ago. I visited a few small pet shops in Riga,
and was please to see that though the selection was not large, there were
some quality aquatic plants available in all, and one had a very nice
planted display tank with discus. I didn't see any books on aquatic
gardening, though, nor any magazines. Since my stepmom is not involved in
the hobby, it wasn't possible for me to meet any local "aquatic plant
lovers", though I would have enjoyed it.
Articles in TAG (or on our web site) can be translated into other languages
for use in not for profit/educational PAPER publications without further
permission, though 2 copies are to be sent to us. (we would forward one to
the original author... it's fun to see your article in another language!)
If you decide to do this, let me know, and I can get the original photos to
you for better reproduction.
If this is for use on a website, or for use in a commercial magazine, our
reprint agreement with our authors does not cover this. However, we can put
you in touch with the author and you can ask for permission directly.
Best wishes,
Karen

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

One more question - what about translating TAG articles to estonian
language? I see also on AGA website some good articles which are
definitely useful, but I don't take risks translate someting without
permission.
Best regards
Rein
