I guess I'm not being clear in the original message.  This is a topic I 
once discussed with the ACA when they suggested business card sized ads at 
something ridiculously-low like $25 or $50 per ad.  My point to them at 
the time was, for the amount of revenue we'd bring in for the society, was 
it even worth the effort of doing an ad setup?

Similarly, if we dropped the price of single PAM's to $3 per issue, is it 
even worth mailing them to get rid of them one copy at a time?  Wouldn't 
the mailing cost and packing still be approximately $1.50-$2 to begin 
with?  I can understand offering the combos for next-to-nothing, but I 
guess I don't see the value proposition in the singles.

So I'd be more apt to coming up with ways to mass-distribute copies. 
Hence, "buy one yourself, get one for a friend", or "buy one set for you, 
get one free for your club".
