I sent the email below to karen Randall to seek permission to use  one of
her images on the Aquatic Gardners website.  I have not gotten a response
and thought I should try another Board member.  Would you perhaps be able
to help me contat Karen Randall or otherwise  obtain permission?

Dear Ms. Randall,

I am working with Shaun Winterton, of the California Department of Food
and Agriculture, on a project for the U.S. government, to update his
computer-based identification key (created using Lucid software),
Aquarium and Pond Plants of the World. The current version is online at:

Aquarium and Pond Plants of the World, Second Edition will be published
by the Center for Plant Health, Science and Technology, an agency within
the United States Department of Agriculture. This tool will use a large
gallery of images of aquatic plants to help users identify a plant
easily. As a government publication, it is noncommercial, and will be
available for free on the Internet and/or as a CD.

Lucid keys (www.lucidcentral.org) are computer-based, matrix-type,
interactive keys in which key taxa are linked directly to images, and to
Html pages containing images and information.

May we have permission to use a jpg image of Monosolenium tenerum from
the Aquatic Gardeners Association website in our key? The image is
accessible from this page:

If you are not the person who would grant permission, would you please
direct me to the person who may be able to assist us?

Should permission be granted, we will of course fully acknowledge you as
the image source and you will retain the copyright. We would credit the
image as:
