Erik, I think it's time I also bring up the subject again of holding elections. Not that I think anyone is doing a bad job (I don't!), but it brings in fresh blood every once in a while. And it gives the membership a sense of connectivity and control of THEIR organization - even though likely only a quarter or a third of them would likely even vote. I sit on three other volunteer organization boards, so I know it's hard to find volunteers; but sometimes it's easier to get folks to run for office or volunteer if they know they are only committing for a 1 or 2 year term. It might be easier to them than to volunteer than to step into a "position for life". Again, just my two cents...
