I've read through about half of the discussion and to be honest, talk of 
money and taxes glazes my eyes over.  I think the idea of possibly hiring 
someone per season to administer the contest is a good idea if we've got the 
money and can arrange for all the financial ins and outs.

Holding elections is also a great idea!  Even if it's the same people doing 
the same things with little actual input from the membership at least 
they've been given the chance and can feel that they've got input into the 
organization.

I hope everyone had a joyful and restful holiday season and y'all have 
something to look forward to in the new year.
