Yeah, but that's the ting about compensated jobs. How can we pay someone
one year and not pay someone the next year and expect the same level of
service?

LOL! "I can't fire me, I quit!" Yes, I think that either way it should
be a one-time agreement.
I'm not rabid about paying someone if we can find a volunteer. I'm just
offering it up for discussion because volunteers who actually stick with
a job for more than a month seem to be thin on the ground. Paying
someone a flat fee or "per entrant" fee would make the worker take the
job more seriously, and a little dedication is something we could truly use.
