Re: [AGA-mcm] AGA-mcm Digest, Vol 56, Issue 2

I'm not sure I'm getting this last e-mail. We don't have options many many variations, specifically if someone orders 2 or more individual issues. PayPal just doesn't give that granulatity to us. Maybe if we were selling them on EBay...

I am proposing that we list one "shipping included" for each item USA, maybe one for Canada/Mexico, and one foreign, much like we do on the membership page. I am assuming that the costs we charge for US today include shipping packing materials, and are not losing us money (though this may not be true with PAMs on sale for $3 each).

What I need for the website is exactly HOW MUCH to charge for each item we sell:
                                        US Canada/Mexico Foreign
Single Issue PAM 3 4 5
Single Issue TAG 6 7 8
5+4 Special 40 ?? ??
Aquarium Plant Handbook 25/30 ?? ??
Ecology of the Planted Aquarium 30/35 ?? ??

If so, then the prices you cited look good to me too. It wiggles a bit on the

on location, sure, but we jsut want a happy medium.

I'm thinking we use 1.50 for domestic-- 2 for canada/Mex-- 3.60 for foreign.
For multiples and
0.25 per item domestic; 0.50 for foreign.

If you want to wait for weighing, I can try to do that tomorrow. I got caught
up longer pouring
the conrete than I expected.

Oh, and I have to TAG ad billings. . .

Btw, I mailed of the IRS filing.  Every year IRS gets a sample TAG -- easier
than trying to
write out a paragraph that at its best could'nt do it justice.

As far as how stuff is shipped - I do padded envelopes for overseas mailings
because they tend
to get torn up if I just do a paper envelope.  If they buy the APH and any
other TAGs, I have to
put them in a box, but a single APH can go in a padded envelope alright.  If
they do something
crazy like a 6+4 (now 5+4) and a bunch of other issues, obviously I have to use a
box.  I have
an assortment of shipping supplies and just do whatever makes sense and doesn't
seem like it'll
get torn up.

Those prices look right to me - but keep an eye out for ANOTHER postal rate
hike in the next
couple months.  I remember seeing a sign about that in the post office but I'm
not sure how
it'll affect us.

Single issue TAG from Missoula $1.34 to anywhere in the US plus the cost
of an envelope (don't have that receipt for 500 envelopes, probably
$.10).  Canada under $2.  Overseas $3.60.  Scott would know better.  He
has all my past receipts.  Paula

Okie doke. thanks folks. If we're not using padded than the envelope cost
is
negligible given the margin of error for changing UPS and USPS rates.

I'll send something out this weekend. Have some cement work to fit in
this weekend
too. And then I'm going to CA April 10-20. That state had one of the
largest
governmental monetary surpluses in the world when I left in 1982. Didn't
take them
long to? go to hell in handbasket.

That's EXACTLY what I'm interested in knowing!  So the website could say

Single Issue TAG        US and Canada $6        Elsewhere $8

Just need to fill in the other blanks for the back issue combo TAG/PAM,
      and the two books!
