I would like a Spring convention, but I think May/June will interfere with people's regular vacation plans.
On the flip side, people might use this as a regular vacation. Come a few days early and attend the convention over the weekend. It also might help in that being a beach resort area, spouses might be willing to come because they can go to the beach.
