I think that if we can get spring of 2010, then November of 2011 is 
actually better for the next one.  On the other hand, if we end up doing 
November 2010, then I think your suggestion of November 2012 is better.

Right.  We're not.  Any collecting would be outside of the official 
convention.  Not only is it a liability, the amount of coordination 
required to scale up a trip to what would be a significant portion of the 
attendees makes this infeasible.  Also to add to this, we just don't have 
the time within the schedule.  Tour of FAN, possible tissue culture 
workshop... no space left!

But I'm sure some of us will be going exploring either before or after the 
convention.
