Thanks Erik! That helps me too. I think Plantation is to far west. In Florida
(East coat) I always like to be East of the turnpike and the closer to A1A the
better.
I am slammed right now working on a RFP until tomorrow at 5 (when its due) :-).
I hope to be able to start making some progress Thursday/Friday.

I have enclosed a graphic showing the
four hotels in relation to FAN on a map. It helped me
visualize things.
You must ignore the "how far away from FAN" quotes from the
rep, as they are not accurate.
The one in Plantation is 5 miles away by freeway.
THe two in Ft. Lauderdale proper are about 18-19 miles by
freeway.
The one near the airport is 15 miles by freeway.
But what I basically see is that all the hotels will
require some form of transportation. I don't see much
of a point with going with Plantation in that case.
The Westin is cheaper. It is also 13 miles from the
International Airport, not 3 miles. If they have a
comp shuttle, it seems like a no-brainer to me.
