There are a lot of beautiful native plants, including many of the hobby "stand-bys" like Vallisneria americana, Cabomba caroliniana, most of the Lugwigias, Didiplis diandra, Sagittaria and more. It really isn't a hardship to work with native species... It's just like our native fish, we tend to ignore them just because they ARE native. I was very amused when I visited a petshop in Manaus, and found that they didn't offer a SINGLE Amazonian fish for sale. You could buy goldfish, guppies, swordtails and Bettas, but not angelfish or cardinals.<g> Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Erik Leung" <erik@e-aquaria.com> To: <aga-member@thekrib.com> Sent: Monday, May 05, 2003 2:47 AM Subject: [AGA Member] re: Charlene Nash in SF > Charlene's talk was great.
