[AGA Member] Borax for algae

Anyone use a borax solution to clean algae from plants? Solutions are used
to treat terrestrial plants for fungus and it occured to me that it might
also be an application for aquatic plants. The older leaves on my anubias
barberi are always discolored and scrubbing them clean is not a generally
successful treatment for me.
