Okay, if you say so. You're crazy ;-)

Won't you at least try a little laterite under the gravel.
You don't need much and you only buy it once per tank setup
so it's really not expensive at all.

Not even just a little box? A spoon? I'll bet those darn
burds put you up to this. Birding is so inexpensive -- a
pair of binocs and you're set. How can aquatic gardening
compare with that price structure? :-(
