RE: [AGA-Member] Removal of Tuft Algae
I would like to understand what benefit do I get from using Excel.
It's more expensive: if you compare seachem's dosing instructions
Then you will see that the amount that you need to dose is 3X that of flourish.
Excel: "use 1 capful for every 200 L (50 gallons*) daily or every other day"
Flourish: "Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 250 L (60 gallons*) once or twice a week."
Second thing - what is the added value for the plants? If it's organic CO2 - isn't it
That on a hightech tank the plants enjoy tons of CO2 any way???
And third question - if it's so good... How can I prepare myself 'home made' excel? :-)
Aviel.

I agree. Seachem Excel works very well. You can even just dose the tank with it at the reccomended dose, and keep at it daily - the algae will disappear in a week or two and your plants will benefit too.
