I don't think it is missing email, but rather missing the point. More than once I've seen others fail to respond to requests that were in larger documents because of this and it is why I am so adamant about editing out everything that is not pertinent. >BTW, I want to state again that I am not entirely convinced that this >is >the way we _should_ be doing things, just that it is the way things >were >originally set up. I don't have any problem with your explanation of the SC and MC duties . My vision of the AGA chair and yours, however, are somewhat different. I consider the position like an orchestra's conductor. He sets the tempo and keeps the rest of the group together for the common goal. I really want the inputs, even if in the end, I decide to disagree with some. I feel this is particularly true now because we are feeling our way to another level of existence. We are moving from an oligarchy to a democracy and the transition can be expected to be bumpy at times. David, Dorothy and Erik, I would like your inputs on the Diana book situation. We have two opinions so far and they are diametrically opposed. When you have stated your opinions, we can decide if any of us want to change our positions because of the thoughts expressed by the rest of the SC. Shortly, I'll be putting together a Chairs message for the next issue. I'll run it by you all to see if I've missed anything of significance when it is done.
