Just had another thought: in response to receiving the new member
application, how about immediately sending a copy of the latest TAG.
Nothing like instant gratification!  Jack (or a delegated representative of
the membership committee) can have a set of TAGs on hand (Mary would print
extras and provide him with an appropriate number each printing.) With the
one issue sent out, the member would get 3 more to complete their first year.

I also forgot to compliment those involved in the solicitation for
volunteers. Great response. Now comes the hard part - providing the
management oversight :-)
