Postage for TAG

Here are the particulars of postage for TAG:

Current cost per issue:  $.23.8 up to 3 oz.

1st Class  $.30 first oz., $.23 each additional oz.

Assuming a weight of 2 oz., each issue would cost $.53.

I have weighed several different issues on our postal scale, and lately most
of our issues weigh exactly 2 oz.
Neil has suggested using envelopes which assuming 750 issues (our last
count) would cost an additional $200 per issue.  The additional weight of
the envelopes in most cases will put us over 2 oz.  The weight of the color
issue with envelope, for example, was 2 1/2 oz.
So 1st class with an envelope would have been .$76.  If we then mailed 4 2
oz. issues with an envelope, that would put us over $1.50 increase per
issue.

So unless I hear otherwise, I will have the next issue sent 1st class for
domestic subscribers as well as non-domestic subscribers, and the domestic
issues will not be sent out in envelopes.
