I think it is a great idea for several reasons including the ones already mentioned. Most importantly, the aga members should not be the last to find out about aga news. The internet must be utilized as a way to communicate even if it does not reach all our members. Erik has been doing this thru the web site, but this is passive. people have to choose to go the site. The APD is better, but it is not an instrument of the AGA. Although APD may be getting AGA news out, it is no longer useful for me. I still get it delivered every day, but only open 1 out of 3 (and I rarely go the archives), so it is easy to miss something that is not properly titled or part of an ongoing thread. I would suggest that the AGA mailouts generally come once per month (as done by my local club) and certainly not daily or even once per week. If it comes everyday, has lots of content (say, if people can have ongoing discussions), then I may religiously participate for a while then drop out. Please kee! ! p it simple (KISS). Neil PS. I hope that TAG2001#3 is in progress and that Mary is not waiting on the lost issue. The new AGA emailer could be a great way to tell folks what is going on. If people knew, I wouldnt even mind telling Gomberg to mail them the free PAM! aga-sc@thekrib.com wrote: > I think this could be really useful. Do the rest of you agree?
